Dear all,

I am extremely pleased to announce that the Malkapur hospital has been inaugurated - on the 31st of August, the center officially opened its doors following a small ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the hospital to locals. The Dekhon Team is proud of all those involved in the process - from the initial surveys, design, negotiations, construction, logistics, and training, all the way down to planning the final inauguration event!

More details on operations as they get underway, but for now, we are excited to be able to report on an ever growing network of hospitals.

Pooja

The inauguration pooja is conducted prior to the opening of the hospital. Dekhon's coordinator Mr Sushil Pande performs the ceremony.

Reception and Admin

The receptionist's desk and administrator's office, located front and center to ensure patients are being taken care of.

Optometry

The patient is seen by an optometrist for a refractive check and to listen to the history so the doctor has a good idea of the patient's past eye issues.

OPD

The out patient waiting area, optical shop, and pharmacy, as well as the receptionist, and entrances to the optometry rooms and doctor's office.

The second stop for the patient, after they see the Optometrist at his station for the preliminary workup.

Operation Theater

Designed to handle large numbers of cataract patients daily, the Malkapur OT is also expandable should the need arise. Outfitted with a PHACO machine, it will host innumerable high quality surgeries over the coming years.
