Objectives

Shri Ganapati Netralaya is a non-profit multi-specialty eyeInstitute supported by the Mahyco Research Foundation Trust.The center was established on December 31st 1992 with the objective of providing comprehensive quality eye care to the rural population in India at an affordable cost.The hospital has seen phenomenal growth over past 20 years. The hospital started in a small building in Jalna, and has now moved to a technologically state-of-the-art clinical center that is currently the largest eye-care institute in western India. The new hospital occupies over 1,75,000 sq . feet of floor space and, with it's 10 operation theatres and modern eye care equipment, the hospital services over 400 patients every day. The center has a team of 10 dedicated doctors representing all ophthalmic sub-specialties.

Dekhon's Home Base

It is through SGN that Dekhon plans to establish a stable network in central Maharashtra. SGN provides all the facilities of a Tertiary Centre, and can treat almost any eye ailment that is known and studied. It will act as a training hub for secondary centre staff as well as the optometrists that Dekhon will send to its vision centres. The most important aspect of the system, SGN will act as the hub for coordination and movement of supplies, spectacles, medicines, and human resources to facilitate the effective functioning of the Dekhon Eye Care Hospital Network.
